My name is Philip, I have been actively practising astrology for over forty years, working with clients in the UK and worldwide. I am honoured to have reached hundreds of people, new to the subject, through talks to groups and societies. With my experience and deep understanding and ability to communicate, it is my pleasure to have the opportunity to present this incredible ancient art for your meeting. My presentations are not overly technical or full of jargon, but informative and fun.
I hold an adult education certificate which has allowed me to speak in colleges etc. My BSc in Human Geography and Post Graduate Diploma in International Relations adds further to me understanding of human nature. Talk Description
An Introduction to Astrology (The Signs of the Zodiac)
A journey through the twelve signs of the zodiac. This entertaining and informative talk is perfect as an introduction to the ancient art of astrology and the real meaning of the zodiac sign people refer to.
Each sign is displayed showing the symbolism, the dates of influence and imagery to identify how and why that personality type functions. Also included is a look at what the zodiac actually is and why it became so prominent as a group of constellations, also a little of the history of astrology. Plus looking at an actual birth chart to explain what it is and how it forms an exclusive map or x ray into a life, past present and future. It will make you realise there is more to astrology than is perceived from the media and how it has always been the ultimate guide to self understanding. Everyone is included and literally everyone they know as the twelve signs are revealed.
Other Talks
The Astrology of Health;
A look at the connection between the signs of the zodiac and specific health issues. Part two of the talk is about The Four Humours; A centuries old way of looking at a persons health by using the elements, that was indicative of quack medicine but may actually have something to offer today. There is an interactive element to further audience engagement. Everyone is included as we journey through each sign.
The Phases of the Moon;
The illustrated talk describes in detail each phase of the Moon and how which phase you were born under adds another layer of complexity to your personality. Are you a Full Moon or New Moon person? We also look at how the Moon phases affect behaviour in society and account for times of emotional responses collectively. A complete guide to understanding the Moon above as it waxes and wanes above us.
The World of Astrology;
An all encompassing look at what astrology really is, a far cry from the entertainment fortune tellers often associated with it. Questions like ''why don't I behave like my sign''? ''What is the zodiac''? It explains the significant ages of life including the famous mid-life crisis in the early forties and should twenty one still be when you get the key of the door? Broader issues like the link between astrology and the timing of financial markets, health issues and geopolitical events. But to end a spine tingling story to let you decide whether your life is lived by free will or fate?
