Talk Description

Don't You Know Who I Am (45 years being ignored by sports rich and famous)

My talk is based on my book of the same name, now in it's 4th edition. It details my dealings over 45 years with the great and the good of the sporting world. These include a drunken Brian Clough, an angry Alex Ferguson and the girlfriend of the greatest living Yorkshireman.
Hear how I once interviewed the world's most famous man, and how I survived a nerve shredding drive through the French countryside in a small Italian hire car being driven by a future World Motor Racing Champion.
If you want tales of football at the highest level, life in the pit lane of the world's racetracks, and the perils of drinking too much red wine on the Tour De France, this could be what you've been looking for. I've been doing the talk to Probus groups, Rotary Clubs and even the Women's Circle.
I'm based near Sheffield but can travel . I can even do annual dinners.

Other Talks

I do have another talk, a completely different one. This is called " Do I Know Who I Am?" and traces my search for my birth family. This involves secrets, lies, misunderstandings, foreign travel and a former Premier League footballer.
This is a PowerPoint presentation which requires a projector and screen.Once again this has already proved a success with several groups.
