Profile Bio
I have lived much of my life in Leeds, while travelling extensively throughout the UK with my business. Living in Yorkshire allows me to indulge in my love of walking; plus, I can often be found reading and going to the theatre.
It was during my work on a Fulneck National Heritage Open Day that I discovered Elizabeth Wolstenholme Elmy. I found this early feminist so incredible that I have written a book about her and also do posts on my website about her and the many amazing women she worked with.
Talk Description
Elizabeth the feisty feminist
Elizabeth Wolstenholme Elmy. Together we explore how this Victorian woman helped to change our world. I introduce you to her many campaigns, the achievements in her lifetime and the work that has come to fruition much more recently.
My talk can be accompanied by slides or is equally fine if this does not suit the group.
I enjoy adapting my talk and so can be responsive to your needs and interests.
