Derek is a trained actor, musician, singer and after dinner speaker.
He has performed in musical theatre and variety shows moving on to produce musical shows including 1940s themed shows whilst raising money for charity. Musical appearances include " Merry Widow", " Guys and Dolls" and " Fiddler on tgd Roof."
Also an accomplished ukulele banjo and ukulele player and lifelong fan of the late, great ENSA entertainer, George Formby, Derek now presents his own variety show including a tribute to George Formby.
As an actor having appeared in several TV dramas and soaps he has honed his natural talent for mimicry into the persona of Wartime Prime Minister,
Winston Churchill.
Renowned as one of the best lookalikes and soundalikes, Derek's convincing, uncanny impersonation has led him to perform at many venues associated with Winston Churchill including Blenheim Palace, Battle of Britain Bunker, Uxbridge, Cliveden House , Chartwell House and the Churcill War Rooms.
