Profile Bio
I have spent many years turning my life around, so I was amazed to discover there was still more to gain. I was to find my voice in the most unexpected way. My journey from Lands End to John O Groats in 2022 not only fulfilled the purpose of promoting our new charity Walk N Talk 4 Mental Health, it also gave me the courage to share my story in a way I have never felt able before.
“Don’t be afraid to speak up. Some people may not appreciate your opinion. Others may criticise you for it. But the ones who really matter in your life will respect you for it.” Anon
Walk N Talk is there for people to talk about mental health however uncomfortable that maybe because we can find all sorts of ways to ignore how we really feel. It is so liberating to be able to come out the other side of that dark tunnel and embrace the light. I have discovered a voice that I never knew I had and have found a way to let go of crippling self doubt disabling writers block and fear of never finishing anything to a newfound energy enthusiasm and a new self belief. I want to share that story to inspire others.
Talk Description
‘Woman with Pink Rucksack, It took me to the end of my journey to find the beginning of my story.’
This is the story of how Walk N Talk 4 Mental Health came about, my Lands End to John O Groats walk and my own personal journey. We are all on a journey even if sometimes we don’t have a clue where to.
Woman with Pink Rucksack, "It took me to the end of my journey to find the beginning of my story.” is my story.
If you have ever struggled with poor mental health, you will know that it takes a lot of effort to do the simplest of things. If childhood trauma renders you speechless and leaves you feeling unworthy then unravelling the past to discover the real you can be time consuming and somewhat painful to do… however I can vouch for doing it. Having spent many years turning my life around I was astonished, amazed, and absolutely astounded to discover there was still more to gain, I was to find my holy grail, the icing on the cake, the missing bit of the puzzle in the most unexpected way on my journey of a 1000 miles.
My epic life changing journey from Lands End to John O Groats not only fulfilled the purpose of promoting our charity Walk N Talk 4 Mental Health it was to change how I thought about myself forever…
